On Friday, April 17, 2026, Whisper Lake Country Club hosted the 24th Annual Farmer Jim Neal Golf Classic in support of Friends of Mississippi State Hospital, Inc. With beautiful weather and ideal conditions throughout the day, the event brought together golfers, sponsors, and supporters for another successful year of fellowship and fundraising. This year’s tournament featured full flights in both the morning and afternoon sessions, with 36 total teams participating. As the largest annual fundraiser for Friends of MSH, the Farmer Jim Neal Golf Classic continues to play a central role in supporting efforts that benefit MSH patients and residents. Cura Hospitality helped make the day especially enjoyable by providing breakfast, lunch, and dinner for players and guests. The event concluded with an awards ceremony, where MSH Director James G. “Bo” Chastain recognized the winning teams and congratulated participants who received hole prizes, including honors such as Longest Drive and Closest to the Hole. Mississippi State Hospital is grateful to all of the sponsors, players, and supporters who helped make this year’s tournament a success. As planning already begins for next year, excitement is building for the 25th Annual Farmer Jim Neal Golf Classic and what promises to be a special celebration.
